The President’s Office announced on the 21st (local time) that the Korea-Japan summit between President Yun Seok-yeol and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida began on the 21st (local time).

The two leaders were staying in New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly, and were reported to be meeting at noon that day. Earlier, the presidential office only replied, “I will explain as soon as the situation develops,” regarding the possibility of holding a Korea-Japan summit.
