An active-duty army captain has been charged with gang rape with another friend of a college classmate who fell asleep while drunk.
When the victim regained consciousness during the crime, the perpetrators knelt to their knees and begged for forgiveness, but when they reported it to the police, their attitude changed.

Four men are kneeling on the quilt spread out in the room.

“While sleeping. I had sex without asking my doctor properly.”
[공 모 씨]
“I’m really sorry. I have committed a great sin.”
The other two out of four claim that they “didn’t know about the sexual assault in the party.”
“We’re really sorry as friends. I think it’s our fault that we didn’t stop. I didn’t hear it. I really didn’t hear it.”
In October of last year, the victim received a call from a university classmate, Captain Kim, in his late 20s, saying, “I’m going to go fishing with my friends nearby, let’s eat together.”
The victim, who refused due to other schedules and joined a drinking party late in the evening, went to their dormitory with them.
I fell asleep drunk, and I remember being raped by a civilian friend of Captain Kim, whom I met for the first time that day following Captain Kim.
It is said that he resisted crying, but was suppressed.

“I woke up in pain. I couldn’t help but put my finger in my mouth…”
As soon as the victim, a police officer, came to her senses, she took pictures and recordings for evidence.
For an hour and a half of the recording, all four people got down on their knees and the two of them begged for forgiveness the whole time.
“I’m sorry. Really.”
“Forgive me just once. Please save one life.”
“I’m really sorry.”
However, when the incident was reported to the police three hours after the incident, his attitude changed.

“I was on my knees, then suddenly got up and tried to clean up my surroundings… I had sex by consensual…”
He also changed the word to “consensual sex” to the police officers who were dispatched.
This is a claim that never appeared in the one-and-a-half hour recording.
Captain Kim said on the phone with MBC, “I thought the victim tacitly consented.”
Captain Kim was the bride-to-be who was about to get married at the time of this incident.

“I bought him an oven to celebrate the wedding in hopes for his blessing… There is no reason to do it under an agreement. (Captain Kim’s friend) is the person I really met that day…”
Another perpetrator, a civilian friend, was not contacted.
Last week, the military investigation team finished investigations against Captain Kim and the police against a friend, and each case was forwarded to the prosecution.

“There are things that are so frustrating and difficult for me, too, in the police organization, and I’m also frustrated that an investigation can only be done through crying and crying through the media.”
