[사회]The actor Yoo Ah-in is responsible for using propofol constantly

Actor Yoo Ah-in is being investigated by the police for frequent use of the psychoactive drug propofol.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency recently booked Yoo on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act and banned him from leaving the country.

The Food and Drug Safety Administration, which monitors the distribution of psychotropic drugs, previously requested a police investigation, claiming that Yoo’s propofol prescription frequency was too frequent.

The police are checking whether he is taking the drug regularly, such as requesting an evaluation of Mr. Yoo’s body hair from the National Institute for Scientific Investigation.

Regarding this, Mr. Yoo’s agency issued a press release and said that Mr. Yoo is actively cooperating with all investigations and would actively clarify the problematic part, and apologized for causing concern.

Yoo, who made his debut in 2003, has established himself as a popular actor by appearing in the dramas Sungkyunkwan Scandal and ‘Six Flying Dragons’, as well as the films ‘Veteran’ and ‘The Apostle’.
