[사회]The pay gap between men and women is the highest in the OECD… “Promoting a gender labor disclosure system, etc.”

The ‘Gender Labor Disclosure System’, which reveals the gender ratio of the employees in the entire process from company recruitment to retirement, will be introduced.

The pay gap between men and women in Korea is the largest among OECD countries, and the purpose is to reduce gender discrimination in employment.

Anyone can see employee status, new hires, and employee pay, but many organizations have created a separate section for women and made it public.

In the future, the public sector and private companies will have to disclose the gender ratio of employees, and the number of disclosure items will increase significantly.

The ratio of men to women is disclosed throughout the process, from the application process to the final successful candidates, from the recruitment stage to those promoted by section users and parental leave.

The fact that the wage gap between men and women in Korea is still large seems to be reflected in the background of the introduction of the gender labor disclosure system, which is also a promise by President Seok-Yeol Yoon.

The gender pay gap in Korea is the largest at 31.1% among Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) countries due to women’s career break.

Along with the introduction of the gender labor disclosure system, the government has decided to establish a foundation for gender equality by examining the status of the gender pay gap every year.

The 3rd Basic Plan for Gender Equality Policy, which will be the focus of the policy for the next five years, also includes measures to strengthen protection for victims of sexual violence.

A plan to ban the adoption of the victim’s past sexual history as evidence in the trial process is being pursued.

Protection measures for victims of sexual harassment and sexual violence by the head of an organization are mandatory.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced that it would work with all ministries to help the public feel the effects of the policy through detailed action plans to be established each year.
