[영상M] When a customer leaves, he sneaks into his bag… A suspicious employee at a mobile phone shop

On July 29, a mobile phone shop in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

As customers leave the store, an employee walking through the store with arms crossed pulls a new phone from a drawer and sneaks it into his bag behind him.

Then another, then another.

New mobile phones are still going in the bag.

A man in his 30s was the first employee to work in a mobile phone shop that day.

While the shop owner was away for about 10 minutes, he stole three new mobile phone terminals.

After that, the owner, who was suspicious of leaving his seat in a hurry to go to the bank, turned on the CCTV and confirmed the crime.

The owner of the shop immediately informed the police, then the man called and asked, “I have to leave again, so come to the shop.”

The man who returned to the shop was arrested as a current offender by the police.

The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station arrested the man on charges of theft, investigated him without detention, and handed him over to the prosecution early last month.

After this news became known, the self-employed community saw a series of posts from shop owners claiming to have been harmed in a similar way by men with similar impressions.

Damaged shop owners are preparing for a collective response, such as securing CCTV footage.
