[축구][K-기자회견] ‘1-4 loss’… Seol Ki-hyun, who bowed his head, “There is no excuse”

[인터풋볼=대전] Reporter Oh Jong-heon = Manager Seol Ki-hyun gave four runs and bowed his head after losing.

Gyeongnam FC lost 1-4 to Daejeon Hana Citizen in the 7th round of ‘Hana One Q K League 2 2022’ held at Daejeon World Cup Stadium at 4 pm on the 26th. With this, Gyeongnam is in 7th place (7 points) with 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses in 6 matches.

Gyeongnam’s goal was victory. After losing the match against Seoul E-Land in the opening match, they succeeded in winning two consecutive victories, but there were no recent victories against the Jeonnam Dragons (1-2 loss) and Ansan Greeners (2-2 draw). Therefore, it was necessary to secure the match and bring 3 points to prepare a foothold for a leap to the top spot and raise the atmosphere at the same time.

But it was shaken from the start. Gyeongnam conceded a goal in the first five minutes of the first half. Another goal was conceded seven minutes later. Fortunately, the chase goal came out quickly. In the 17th minute of the first half, a throw-in from the right led to the door. Park Min-seo gave the ball to Lee Ui-hyung, calmly timing the shot and connecting it to a goal.

But the score could not be reversed. On the contrary, Gyeongnam conceded additional runs in Daejeon in the 29th and 30th minutes of the first half, further widening the gap. At the end of the second half, goalkeeper Son Jeong-hyeon was sent off in a chaotic situation and eventually lost to Daejeon.

After the match, coach Seol Ki-hyeon said, “The players did their best. As a manager, I don’t think I prepared well. I should have devised a formation that could cope with the opponent’s fast attack speed. “I conceded a goal early and dragged it into a difficult game. I’m sorry to the fans who cheered me on. There’s no excuse. I was lacking in every way.”

Manager Seol Ki-hyeon adopted 4 as the starting formation, but changed it to 3 because of a goal early in the first half. Manager Seol Ki-hyun said, “The formation change is not very important. It is important to plan the formation according to the composition of the players. The right defense was in a position where there was a vacancy due to injuries and accumulated warnings. We changed it to 300 in the middle. It could have been a quick change when it was a -2 score, but I think the timing of the change was too late.”

Then, coach Seol Ki-hyun said, “Most goals happen inside the box. The first thing to do is not to concede a cross, and then you have to be able to deal with it inside the box. “It’s a problem that has come up before. I think it should be made through continuous training. Since we made mistakes in the areas we were worried about, I think we should think about changing the formation or training.”
