The bereaved families strongly criticized the results of the special police investigation announced the day before.
Public Administration and Security Minister Lee Sang-min, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, and National Police Agency Commissioner Yoon Hee-geun called for a thorough investigation by the prosecution, saying it was a failed “tail-cutting investigation” . to hold the so-called higher-ups accountable.

The families of the bereaved also strongly criticized yesterday for mentioning the disaster by Bank of Korea Governor Lee Chang-yong as one of the reasons for the poor economic indicators in the fourth quarter of last year.
The bereaved families demanded an apology, saying they blamed the victims for the economic collapse.
The Citizens Countermeasures Meeting for the October 29 Disaster will set the period between the 30th and the 5th of next month, which is the 100th day of the disaster, as a period of intense remembrance, and plans to hold a memorial service in downtown Seoul on the 4th. from next month.
