Abandoned on the way, repulsed by the stars; Priyadarshan responds to controversies

Director Priyadarshan responds to allegations made by producer Feroz A Nadiawala in connection with ‘Hera Fairy’. ‘Hera Fairy’ was a remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Ram Ji Rao Speaking’. Priyadarshan had earlier said that there was no need to prepare the second part of the film. It was after this that Nadiawala came on the scene criticizing Priyadarshan. The producer said that he did not finish the first part of the film and how did he reject the second part and the upcoming third part. Priyadarshan’s response followed.

‘This is an incident twenty years ago. I don’t know why this is being talked about right now. I did films in Bollywood even after that movie. Now I have done the 95th film of my career. I would never have been in the industry if there had been alleged behavior, ”Priyadarshan said.

The producer also alleged that Priyadarshan had discouraged Akshay Kumar and other actors from doing ‘Hera Fairy’. Priyadarshan also came on the scene with a reply to this.

I have done films with these actors since then. How can I do that. I am also a small South Indian director. “I have no influence in Bollywood,” Priyadarshan said.

Priyadarshan also reacted to the allegation that the film was made with a lot of depressing scenes.

The film is a remake of ‘Ramji Rao’. It was taken frame by frame. So can you tell me how I made the film with the depressing scenes. The original movie was a super hit. That is why the Hindi remake was prepared. I have not told anyone about this movie. Recently I was told that I do not want to do the third part- Priyadarshan clarified in the interview.
