Finance Minister KN Balagopal has said that the CAG’s reference to Kifbi was rejected by the Assembly. It is not clear whether the CAG position is political. One can only guess why something that was once rejected is coming back. The finance minister said Kifby was operating in accordance with the law.

The Leader of the Opposition in Thiruvananthapuram said that the government is going ahead with the Silver Line by taking a huge loan when the CAG points out the terrible picture of the financial situation.
