Actor shot dead by cinematographer during filming in US us

Los Angeles: Halina Hutchins, 42, photographer shot dead by actor Alec Baldwin during filming in the US. Director Joel Sousa was injured. The two were shot by a prop gun used during the shooting. A spokesman for Baldwin said he had accidentally fired from his gun.

The incident happened Thursday afternoon on the set of the movie Rust, starring Baldwin, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Helina was airlifted to hospital in a helicopter with serious injuries but could not save her life. Sousa is in treatment.

Born in Ukraine, Halina has been described by American cinematographer magazine as a rising star in 2019. He was the cinematographer of Archenemy, Darlin, and Blind Fire.

Meanwhile, Baldwin is being questioned by police. Police said they are investigating what happened and no arrests have been made yet.

Prop guns are used in cinema sets and plays. Most do not work, but in some cases real guns are used.

Movies including Mission Impossible, Madagascar Escape 2 Africa, Blue Jasmine and many TV shows including Friends‌‌ and Las Vegas. Alec Baldwin has also starred in the series. In 1993, Brandon Lee, the son of actor Bruce Lee, was accidentally shot during a film shoot.
