AFF chooses Singapore Host Suzuki Cup at the end of this year
The ASEAN Football Confederation (AFF) held a meeting to select the host of the ASEAN Football Championship “AFF Suzuki Cup 2020” on September 28.
Previously, there were 5 countries that offered themselves, namely Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, but only Thailand and Singapore passed the standards.
It appears that the AFF chose to host Singapore. From the selection criteria are
1. Received support for competition management from government agencies.
2. Safety and Health Management
3. Risk Management in the Covid Situation
4. Venue and facilities
5. Experience in organizing competitions under the COVID-19 situation
The competition will take place from December 5, 2021 to January 1, 2022.
