Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu announced that public transportation in the city will be free on the weekend on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.
In his post on his X social media account, İmamoğlu said, “In honor of the 100th anniversary of our Republic, public transportation will be free in Istanbul on 28-29 October. Happy 100th year to all of you.” he said.
Reminding that Istanbulkart must be personalized for free passage, İmamoğlu also included the link “https://m.istanbulsenin.istanbul/kisisellestirme” in his post where this process can be done.

Bus system.
Marine transportation
Cable car.
Marmaray stations are connected to TCDD. Marmaray, Başkentray and İZBAN will also provide free service in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir on October 29.
