Athletic Bilbao wins the Spanish King’s Cup at the expense of Mallorca on penalties

The Spanish team, Athletic Bilbao, won the Spanish King’s Cup, after defeating its counterpart, Real Mallorca, on penalties, 4-2, after a positive 1-1 draw in the match that brought the two teams together on Saturday evening, at the “La Cartoja” stadium in Seville, in the final of the tournament.

Real Mallorca’s first goal in the first half came from Dari Rodriguez in the 21st minute, and Oihan Sunset equalized for Bilbao in the 54th minute.

Athletic Bilbao’s formation was as follows: Goalkeeper: Aguirzabala – Defense: Marcos, Vivian, Paredes, Yuri – Midfield: Gallarita, Prados, Williams – Attack: Nico Williams, Sanchit, Gorozeta.

The Real Mallorca formation was as follows: Goalkeeper: Griff – Defense: Lato, Copete, Muriqui, Samo – Midfield: Dardier, Rodriguez, Larin, Gonzalez – Attack: Railo, Valente.

The match extended to extra time after a 1-1 draw within 90 minutes, and the result remained the same until Bilbao decided it on penalties.

Athletic Bilbao was able to qualify for the final match at the expense of Atletico Madrid after succeeding in winning 3-0 in the match that was held in the second leg of the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Mallorca was able to qualify at the expense of Real Sociedad, winning 5-4 after resorting to penalty kicks in the match that was held between them.

Barcelona is the team that has won the most Spanish King’s Cup titles in history, with 31 titles, then Athletic Bilbao is runner-up with 24 titles, and Real Madrid is third with 19 titles.
