[TODAY스포츠=이한주 기자]Atlanta is only one win away from winning the World Series.
The Atlanta Braves defeated the Houston Astros 3-2 in Game 4 of the 2021 MLB World Series held at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia on the 31st (Korean time).
As a result of the day, Atlanta recorded 3 wins and 1 loss in the best-of-seven World Series. If he wins just one more game, he will become the first World Series winner in 26 years since 1995.
It was Houston’s job to take the lead. In the first inning, Jose Altube’s hit and Michael Brantley-Jordan Alvarez’ walk made the first-bow base. Subsequent hitter Carlos Correa only landed at third base, but in the meantime, third base runner Altube stepped on home, giving the team the lead.
Houston’s momentum rose, and after one shot in the fourth inning, Altube hit a solo shot and widened the gap.
Atlanta wasn’t the only one watching. In the bottom of the 6th inning, Eddie Rosario’s double and Freddie Freeman’s walk led Austin Reilly to hit a single RBI from 2nd and 1st.
Atlanta, who was looking for a chance to hit the ball, balanced the game with Danceby Swanson activating the solo gun after one shot in the bottom of the 7th. It wasn’t over. Jorge Solaire, a pinch hitter, exploded a solo gun that crossed the left fence and turned the game around in an instant.
The desperate Houston tried to counter-attack, but in the end couldn’t turn the game around.
In Atlanta, the main characters of the finals, Solaire (1 hit, 1 home run, 1 RBI), Rosario (2 hits, 4 at-bat) and Riley (2 hits, 1 RBI) in 4 at-bat led the attack.
On the other hand, Houston played hard with Altube’s 5 at-bat, 2 hits, 1 home run and 1 RBI, but it was not enough to prevent the team’s defeat.
