Attack on a hotel where foreigners live in Afghanistan; Taliban killed 3 people – Afghanistan Attack Taliban | Manorama Online

Kabul – Gunmen attacked a hotel where foreigners stay in Afghanistan. The incident took place at Kabul Longan Hotel in Shahre Now, Kabul. The spokesman for the Taliban government, Sabihullah Mujahid, said that two foreigners who jumped down through the window to escape were injured. Locals refer to the hotel as a Chinese hotel as it is a regular choice for Chinese officials to stay in when they arrive in Afghanistan.

PTI news agency said it cited Taliban sources that three gunmen were killed. Images and videos of the explosion and gunfire have been shared on social media. Khalid Zadran, the Taliban spokesman appointed on behalf of the Kabul police, said the attack lasted several hours. Sadran says the attack is over and investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The enemies of the Taliban, the Islamic State in Khorasan Province, are constantly attacking Afghanistan. After the Taliban seized power last year, they have been carrying out strong attacks.

After the information about the attack came out, the Taliban forces arrived on the spot and blocked the roads to the area. Meanwhile, local residents are also quoted as saying that the attack is not over yet.
