Australia’s Travis Headin Kovid; Not in the 4th Test of the Ashes series Travis Head COVID 19

Kovid has confirmed Travis Head, Australia’s run-getter in the Sydney ∙ Ashes series. With this, it was confirmed that Head would not play in the fourth Test in Sydney. The fourth Test of the Ashes series starts on January 5 in Sydney. Australia have secured the series by winning the first three Tests of the series.

Travis Head, currently based in Melbourne, will stay with his partner for seven days, according to Victorian government rules, Cricket Australia said. The Australian board said in a statement that Kovid had confirmed to Travis Head that the Australian players, their partners and coaching staff would be examined by Kovid at regular intervals.

Travis Head will play in the Fifth Test in Hobart if he misses the fourth Test in Sydney but has no other problems.

He has scored 248 runs at an average of 62 in three Tests, including a century in the first Test at Gabba. Mitchell Marsh, Nick Maddinson and Josh Inglis have been included in the Australia squad as a precaution in the event of Travis Head being ruled out.

Earlier, English coach Chris Silverwood was admitted to Melbourne for isolation after it became clear he was in close contact with the Covid victim.
