Following Miura’s death, the final chapter he completed was published posthumously in September 2021. The series resumed in June 2022 under the supervision of Kouji Mori, Miura’s childhood friend and fellow manga artist, alongside Studio Gaga, which includes Miura’s longtime assistants and apprentices. This continuation ensures the story progresses under the guidance of those closest to Miura’s creative vision.
Berserk is considered one of the most detailed and beautifully drawn manga of all time. The late Kentaro Miura’s attention to detail and realistic sense of the medieval period truly brought the characters, setting and world to life.
