Microsoft founder Bill Gates said that generative artificial intelligence (AI), like ChatGPT, is the most important innovation today and will change the world through it.

CNBC reported that Bill Gates appeared on a podcast with Handelsblatt, a German business media, on the 19th (local time) and revealed this.

According to this, Gates said, “Until now, AI could read and write, but in reality, it did not understand the content.” Healthcare and education were identified as the areas where generative AI could have the greatest impact.

He also predicted that productive AI would significantly change the way people work. “Currently, work requires too much calculation, but the results are not always correct,” he said. “New programs like ChatGPT will make work more efficient by replacing invoices and emails. “In MS Teams, AI has been installed, and the function that organizes meeting content automatically is cited as example.

“The progress over the next few years to improve these capabilities will be significant,” he said. He added, “Everyone must have watched what the leading competitors, Microsoft and Google, announced.”

Meanwhile, Bill Gates co-founded Microsoft in 1975 and led the company for over 20 years before stepping down as CEO in 2000. On the podcast that day, he joked, “I lean to one side (MS ).”
