[비즈니스포스트] With former US President Donald Trump winning re-election, expert predictions for Bitcoin prices are showing an upward trend.

Given that the price of Bitcoin increased nearly 20 times during former President Trump’s first term, a simple calculation based on this raises the possibility that it will exceed $1 million.

Cointelegraph, a virtual currency magazine, reported on the 7th, “If you look at the precedent of the 1,900% increase in the price of Bitcoin during the term of former President Trump, the price could reach $1 million in the next term.”

Former President Trump, who took office in November 2016, has taken a negative view of virtual currencies in general, including Bitcoin. However, until November 2020, when the term expires, the price of Bitcoin rises dramatically.

Former President Trump showed a friendly attitude during this presidential campaign, promising to stockpile Bitcoin as a US strategic asset and significantly relax related regulations.

There is a strong expectation that this policy will naturally revive the market of virtual currencies like Bitcoin and lead to an increase in market value.

According to Cointelegraph, following the re-election of former President Trump, Bitcoin’s predicted price by experts is trending upwards from $100,000 to $250,000.

The price of Bitcoin reached an all-time high in line with the results of the US presidential election vote count, which means that steady growth may continue.

Cointelegraph reports that the prediction that the price of Bitcoin will rise to $1 million will not be seen as unreasonable.

The evidence provided was that Arc Investments CEO Cathy Wood previously predicted that “the price of Bitcoin will exceed $1 million by 2030.”

He based this prediction on the prediction that major investment banks such as Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Bank of America will enter the Bitcoin market in earnest.

Currently, the price of Bitcoin is hovering around $75,379 on major exchanges. Reporter Kim Yong-won
