Brazil to face Ghana; Neymar injured himself on his way to break Pele’s record

Paris: Teams come out to sharpen their weapons before the World Cup. Brazil will face Ghana in a friendly on Saturday morning at 12 PM IST. Brazil coach Tite shared the hope that Neymar, who was injured during training, will be able to make it to the starting eleven.

Tite said Neymar could join Brazil’s front line against Ghana alongside Finicius Jr., Richarlison and Rafinha. Neymar injured his ankle during training.

Neymar has already added 8 goals and 7 assists to his tally in League One this season. Pele’s record in friendlies is also just ahead of Neymar’s. Neymar needs 3 more goals to become Brazil’s all-time top scorer.

Tunisia are Brazil’s opponent next Thursday, after a straight game against Ghana today. Fans are hoping that Neymar can go after Pele’s goal in the two friendlies ahead if he is not injured.
