North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui Meets with Russian Counterpart

North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son-hui, who is visiting Russia, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov are scheduled to hold a brief meeting on the 17th local time, Russia’s Sputnik news agency reported.
The agency reported on the 17th that “the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Foreign Minister Lavrov and Foreign Minister Choi Son-hui are scheduled to meet.”
Choe Son-hui departed from Pyongyang on an Air Koryo flight on the 16th to attend the 4th Eurasian Women’s Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia from the 18th to the 20th.
After arriving in Vladivostok, Choe Son-hui appears to have headed to Moscow, near St. Petersburg, rather than transferring to a flight to St. Petersburg.
Meanwhile, President Vladimir Putin has no plans to contact Choe Son-hui, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on the 17th.
