Preferred Casino LLC has discontinued its charter flight service from Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, shifting operations to Pittsburgh, according to a statement released on June 10, 2026. The company, which previously operated year-round flights to multiple casino destinations, cited strategic repositioning as the reason for the change.

The decision marks the end of an era for the airport, which had served as a key hub for casino travelers since the company’s founding in the early 2010s. A spokesperson for Preferred Casino LLC stated, “We are repositioning our service to better align with evolving customer demand and regional travel patterns.” The statement did not specify which destinations will no longer be served, though the company confirmed it will now focus on Pittsburgh-based casinos.

Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, located in Westmoreland County, has not yet issued a formal response to the announcement. However, local officials noted the service change could impact the area’s tourism sector. “This is a significant development for our community,” said Mitchell Haass, chair of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority. “We are evaluating how to support businesses and travelers affected by this shift.”

The repositioning follows a broader trend in the casino and travel industries, where companies increasingly target metropolitan areas with established infrastructure. Pittsburgh, home to the Rivers Casino and the Palace Station, has seen a rise in direct flight options in recent years. Spirit Airlines, a regional carrier, has also expanded services to the city, though no direct link has been confirmed between the two developments.

Preferred Casino LLC’s service had previously operated under a partnership with multiple casinos across the Midwest and South. The company’s website, last updated on June 5, 2026, lists Pittsburgh as a primary destination but does not mention the termination of other routes. A separate filing with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) indicates the company has submitted revised flight schedules effective July 1, 20
