The central team, which is here to assess the situation in Kovid in the state, will meet top officials today, including the health minister, chief secretary and health principal secretary. In the morning, the team will assess the Kovid situation in Thiruvananthapuram district.
The situation in the district will be discussed with the Thiruvananthapuram Collector and officials on the 11th. He will then meet the members of the expert committee. A team from the central team will also visit Kasaragod district in the afternoon.
The team arrived in the capital after visiting the districts where TPR is high and giving necessary instructions. If the test positivity rate remains above 12, the Department of Health will be instructed to reduce the spread of the disease.

Meanwhile, Kovid confirmed 20,728 cases in the state yesterday as well. The test positivity rate is 12.14. Malappuram 3770, Thrissur 2689, Kozhikode 2434, Ernakulam 2246, Palakkad 1882, Kollam 1336, Kannur 1112, Thiruvananthapuram 1050, Alappuzha 1046, Kottayam 963, Kasaragod 707, Wayanad 666, Idukki 441 and Pathanamthitta 386 districts were diagnosed with the disease yesterday.
