‘Check for DYFI’; Youth Congress hosts Halal Food Fest
Thrissur: Youth Congress with ‘Halal Food Fest’ while Sangh Parivar is trying to create communal polarization due to Halal controversy. Thrissur Kaippamangalam Constituency Youth Congress Committee is the organizer of the event.
The committee organized the Halal Food Fest under the slogan ‘Against Sangh Parivar agendas and hate propaganda that mix communal poison even in food ..’
The event was held at Eriyat in Kaipamangalam. It is also noteworthy that the Youth Congress agitation took place during the DYFI’s Food Street agitation.
The strike comes as the Sangh Parivar has come out against halal boards and halal food in hotels in Kerala.
The Sangh Parivar’s campaign said that spit food is served under the name ‘Halal’ and therefore food should not be eaten in halal certified hotels.
