Chinese President Xi Jinping Visits Belgrade Amid Tight Security

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives in Belgrade. The capital of Serbia on Tuesday night (May 7) with MiG-29 jets (MIG-29) amid tight security. This coincides with the 25th anniversary of the NATO bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade.

Having finished his trip to France, Belgrade is the second stop on his first trip to Europe in five years, where Xi is expected to discuss billions of Chinese investments. This includes new deals in Serbia, China’s most important ally in the Balkans.
