CM Ibrahim Expresses Displeasure Over JDS-NDA Alliance: Opinions Not Sought Before Formation

Karnataka JDS President CM Ibrahim Expresses Dissatisfaction with Formation of JDS-NDA Alliance

Bengaluru – CM Ibrahim, the Karnataka State President of Janata Dal, has voiced his dissatisfaction over the formation of the JDS-NDA alliance without seeking opinions from party members. Ibrahim claims that he was not consulted before the JDS joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

“In my opinion, the JDS-NDA alliance is not sustainable. Merely holding a meeting in Delhi does not automatically imply the formation of an alliance,” CM Ibrahim asserted. Following the Delhi meeting, JDS leader KA Thippeswamy informed Ibrahim, who vowed to utilize his power as the state president.

After aligning with the BJP, several party leaders have defected. To discuss the subsequent course of action, the JDS is scheduled to convene a meeting on October 16 under the chairmanship of CM Ibrahim. The JDS officially joined the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on September 22 after a meeting between Kumaraswamy and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
