Coronavirus has been confirmed in dogs bred in the UK. This was confirmed on Wednesday by Christine Middlemis, Chief Veterinary Officer in the United Kingdom. Kovid 19 was confirmed to be a pet dog in a November 3 test at the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) in Weybridge.

The dog is currently being treated at home. Indications are that the dog was diagnosed with the disease from a corona positive owner. The dog’s owner was corona positive. However, the statement said there was no evidence that the corona virus could be transmitted from humans to animals. The doctor who examined the dog said there was improvement in his health.

Meanwhile, a study was recently published that pets may be affected by the alpha variant of Sarskov 2. The study was published in the journal Veterinary Records. It was first discovered in southeastern England. This is known as the UK variant or B.1.1.7. The study also found that this variant quickly outperformed existing variants in England due to its increased infectiousness and contagion. This is the first identification study of the SARSCOV 2 alpha variant in pets. Two cats and one dog were positive on the PCR test. The study also found that these pets showed respiratory symptoms weeks before they became ill.
