Death of Nayana Surya: Re-examination to clear the mystery | Kerala | Deshabhimani

Thiruvananthapuram> The cause of death of young director Nayana Surya is being re-examined to remove the mystery. As per instructions of City Police Commissioner CH Nagaraju, DCRB Asst. Commissioner JK Dinil has started an investigation. Asst. Once the commissioner’s report is received, a decision will be made as to whether the case should be re-investigated.

Friends have accused the death of young director Nayana Surya as mysterious. The part in the post-mortem report that an injury to Nayana’s neck could have been the cause of death is missing in the police report. Nayana’s abdomen where she was beaten and several abrasions around her neck were allegedly not taken seriously. The friends contacted the commissioner demanding further investigation into the case.

On February 24, 2019, Nayana Surya was found dead in a rented house in Altara, Thiruvananthapuram. The museum police registered a case of unnatural death. The 31.5 cm wound on Nayana’s neck and other injuries were allegedly not recorded during the autopsy. Bleeding occurred in the pancreas and kidney organs due to internal injury. The post-mortem report also states that the spleen was shrunken and ruptured.

The police concluded that Nayana, who was being treated for depression, may have committed suicide. It was also speculated that Naina, who suffers from diabetes, may have collapsed inside the room due to low blood sugar and died without assistance.
