Designated as the 7th maintenance area for Gaepo Wooseong in Ilwon-dong, Seoul… Reconstruction with 1234 households

The ‘Gaepo Wooseong 7th’ apartment in Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul will be transformed into 1234 households through reconstruction.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government held the 14th Urban Planning Committee the day before and announced on the 28th that it had revised and approved the ‘Decision (change) of the district unit plan for the Gaepo Housing Site Development District and the designation of the Gaepo Predominant 7th Apartment Improvement Area’.

The complex, which faces Daecheong Station on Subway Line 3 at 615 Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-gu, was completed in 1987 with 17 buildings, 14 floors, and 802 households. Previously, we had considered integrated reconstruction with the Hyundai 4th apartment adjoining the complex, but decided to change the direction to independent development in August of last year, and the independent development was confirmed in February.

As the designation of the maintenance area is decided this time, the building-to-land ratio of this complex is 50% or less, the floor area ratio is 299.99% or less, and the maximum height is 120m or less (the highest number of floors is 35 stories or less). Including 165 rental housing units, 1,234 apartment units and additional facilities and welfare facilities will be built. Publicity was also secured by collecting donations for public rental housing and expanding public and infrastructure facilities such as parks, green areas, and roads.

Kim Seong-bo, head of Seoul’s Housing Policy Office, said, “It shows the will to quickly carry out the reconstruction project that has been stagnant after taking office as mayor Oh Se-hoon. “He said.
