Sputnik news agency reported that the Russian army has destroyed two high-speed mobile artillery rocket systems (HIMARS) in Donetsk, Ukraine on the 6th (local time).

Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed that “high-precision air-launched missiles destroyed two US-made Haimas and two ammunition depots in the town of Malotaraniuka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR),” the Russian Defense Ministry said.
The US applied for a total of four Hi-Mars.

Hi-Mars has a multiple rocket system (MLRS) mounted on an armored truck and can fire six precision-guided rockets at a time.

Since the missile is loaded into a vehicle, it can be moved to a safe place immediately after launch, making it easy to avoid enemy counterattacks.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his anticipation by expressing special gratitude to the United States for receiving the aid from Haimas.
Ukraine used former Soviet-made MLRS such as Smerch and Uragan before receiving Haimas, which are outdated weapons that are easily exposed to counterattacks and have poor firing accuracy.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), a US media outlet, reported that the Ukrainian Army was using the Hymas deployed in combat on the eastern frontline to precisely strike the main targets of the Russian Army and achieving results.
