The public company “Tržnica” Zenica through its operations strives to provide the best services and satisfy the interests of both users and citizens. Despite inflation and increased costs, “Tržnica” Zenica found ways to end the 2022 business year with a positive financial result.
A demanding and challenging year
According to Selma Vidimlić, director of JP “Tržnica” Zenica, the past year was extremely demanding, and they, like most companies, encountered a smaller or more significant increase in costs, while revenues remained the same due to the fact that there were no major deviations when it came to service prices.
“We managed to end the year with a minimal but still positive financial result. However, we had to introduce changes in our work related to the provision of services, and we hope that this will not affect the quality of services. One of the most important activities that we have implemented in the past year is related to our engagement and assistance to officials in the City of Zenica. Namely, the City of Zenica applied for and received a project from UNDP related to the improvement of the infrastructure of city markets. It is about the acquisition of new refrigerated showcases, tables at the green market, fair houses that will be handed over to the Market after the completion of the project. The second activity is related to the replacement of the heating system in the Market building because we are not on the city’s heating system. We received help from the Environmental Protection Fund in the amount of 100,000 KM for the introduction of a new heating system. In the course of 2023, we expect the realization of these activities”, says Vimidlić.
