The release of the new Mortal Kombat game may have to wait a little longer.
NetherRealm Studios Mortal Kombat director Ed Boon has confirmed that the new NetherRealm Studios game will only be released when the time is right. And it won’t debut in Mortal Kombat 30th Anniversary Celebration soon.
PSA/FYI We know many of you are excited about the next NRS game announcement and it will happen in due time. But first of all about 30 years of Mortal Kombat. That’s what we’re going to celebrate and focus on.

“I understand that you are excited about NetherRealm Studios’ new title that will surely be released one day. When the time is right, but first, let’s talk about the Mortal Kombat family’s 30th anniversary. We’ll focus on celebrating that family’s birthday first. As for new games, they will be announced separately from the MK Games 30th Anniversary celebration. ” – Ed Boon said.
Of course, Ed Boon hasn’t revealed a specific timeline as to whether a new Mortal Kombat or a new game from NetherRealm Studios will launch at any point. Until then, if there is any interesting game news, the GamingDose team will continue to report.
