The agency said, “Malicious rumors about Hyun Bong-sik are being spread indiscriminately through online communities and social networking services (SNS),” and “Those who continue to spread false information are causing great damage not only to the actors, but also to the agency and production company.” claimed.
He continued, “From the time the rumor was raised, we have collected all evidence regarding defamation and spread of false information through a law firm,” and added, “We plan to file a formal complaint with the investigative agency against those who first spread it.”
At the same time, he warned, “We will take strong legal action without agreement or leniency against repeatedly posting malicious posts that insult the personality of actors, defame them, or recklessly reproduce such posts.”
Previously, Mr. A exposed Hyun Bong-sik’s affair through his SNS. In addition, confidential text messages exchanged with Hyun Bong-sik were revealed, along with claims that Hyun Bong-sik abandoned and abused his dog.
Hyun Bong-sik’s legal representative, lawyer Jeong Hee-won (Sidairo Law Firm), also said, “Recently, untrue information related to Hyun Bong-sik’s private life has been spread indiscriminately, so we are inevitably preparing to take legal action.”
At the same time, he said, “There was a request from the person who first spread it to ‘lend money’, and when he did not respond, it is judged that he maliciously spread false information,” and added, “The investigative agency has requested an investigation not only for defamation, but also for blackmail and threats.”
Hyun Bong-sik is currently appearing as Gong Tae-seon, the uncle of Park Shin-hye (played by Nam Ha-neul) in JTBC’s ‘Doctor Slump’.
