The review of the Prosecutor’s Office (completely deprived of the prosecution’s investigative power) bill promoted by the Democratic Party begins today (18th).

Rep. Park Jumin of the Democratic Party, who is chair of the first subcommittee of the Legislative and Judiciary Committee of the National Assembly, convened a second lieutenant at 7 pm this evening. The sub-committee discusses amendments to the Criminal Procedure Act and the Prosecutor’s Office Act, both of which are bills that close inspections.

The Democratic Party, which proposed the Inspection and Removal Bill on the 15th, decided to convene a second lieutenant to review the relevant law despite the opposition of the people, and there is a possibility of clashes between the ruling and opposition parties.

The Democratic Party plans to pass the relevant law at the plenary session as early as next week after the standing committee review.
