Expansion of Heilongjiang’s Expressway Network Stimulates Economic Exchanges in Northeast China

HARBIN, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — Heilongjiang Provincial Transport Bureau in north China’s Heilongjiang Province. The total length of Heilongjiang’s expressway network is said to have exceeded 5,000 kilometers after the construction of two expressways was completed on Friday (December 22), Heilongjiang currently has eight expressways.

The report said the two completed expressways have expanded Heilongjiang’s transportation channels to the south. It is expected to stimulate economic exchanges between Heilongjiang and other northeastern provinces such as Jilin and Liaoning.

Previously in November China’s Ministry of Transport reports that the total length of China’s open expressways has reached 177,000 kilometers by the end of 2022, with China still the country with the total length of expressways in the world.
