Former King of Egypt Ahmed Fouad II visits the Greek Museum in Iskan

Today, Thursday, the former King of Egypt, Ahmed Fouad II, accompanied by his son, Prince Muhammad Ali, and the accompanying delegation, visited the Greco-Roman Museum in Alexandria and conducted a tour of the governorate.

Dr. Walaa Mostafa, Director General of the Greek Museum, received the former King of Egypt and his son, and took them on an introductory tour inside its various halls. She gave them a comprehensive explanation of the history of the museum and its archaeological collections, which are distinguished by their historical richness and diversity, telling the story of the Greco-Roman eras in Egypt, from before Alexander the Great until the Byzantine era, passing through. In the Ptolemaic and Roman era.

The former King of Egypt expressed his happiness at visiting the museum and learning about its unique treasures. He also expressed his admiration for the distinguished location of the museum, which is located among many historical, cultural and archaeological monuments.

King Ahmed Fouad II and Prince Muhammad Ali, accompanied by Majed Farag, the official spokesman for the former king, were keen to take souvenir photos to commemorate this visit and record them in the museum’s VIP visitors’ register.

The former King of Egypt began his tour in Alexandria yesterday, Wednesday, by visiting a number of archaeological and cultural monuments and tourist areas. Such as the Royal Montazah Palace, the Library of Alexandria, and areas such as Raml Station, Mansheya Square, and Bahri.

King Ahmed Fouad II is the son of King Farouk I and his second wife, Queen Nariman, and he is a member of the Alawite family of Muhammad Ali.

King Fouad II officially ruled as the last king of Egypt and Sudan from July 26, 1952 until the declaration of the Republic on June 18, 1953.
