It has been reported that Google will support a new satellite connectivity feature in Google Maps for Android.

Location sharing is provided via satellite. Foreign media reported: “When you can’t use Google Maps due to a slow or disconnected Internet connection, offline maps and satellite connections will help you get to your destination.”

There is still only partial information on Google Maps’ new satellite connection feature, and more information is expected to be revealed at Google I/O on the 14th of next month. According to the report, the upcoming Pixel 9 series will be equipped with the Exynos 5400 modem, which supports emergency satellite communications.
