Government Increases Salary of Civil Servants and Pension Support on D-Day 1 May

D-Day 1 May: Increase the salary of newly hired civil servants to no less than 18,000 baht / month and raise the minimum pension to no less than 11,000 baht / month.

On April 30, 2024, Mrs Radklao Inthawong Suwankiri, the Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister’s Office, revealed that the first salary rate adjustment for civil servants will be adjusted on May 1. It comes into force on the first day as decided by the Cabinet on 28 November 2023.

By adjusting the first rate of pay of civil servants and government officials. The aim is for those working in jobs that use bachelor’s degree qualifications. they will have a salary of not less than 18,000 baht and those working in jobs requiring a vocational certificate level will have a salary of not less than 11,000 baht within that 2-year period.

In addition, the Cabinet also issued a Royal Decree on Living Cost Support for Recipients of Annuities and Pensions (No 17) BE 2024, which was published in the Royal Gazette on April 17. The main thing is to improve the rate of living cost support for recipients pension and annuity. To determine the recipient or entitled to receive annuities or pensions

which, when combined with living expenses support for pension recipients, is less than 11,000 baht per month, pension recipients will receive additional living expenses support at the specified rate. To reflect rising living costs and pay rises for civil servants It will also come into force on 1 May.

Mrs Radklao said that the Office of the Civil Service Commission (Office of the Civil Service Commission) is 100% ready and has issued a letter circulating guidelines for adjusting the first rate of pay and compensating those affected by salary adjustments for government agencies to know according to letter No. 1012.3/W 9 dated 9 April.

If any agency is unable to make adjustments in time, salary increases will be applied retroactively. Including liaising with the Budget Office. and the General Manager’s Department already Ask government officials and those who receive annuities or pensions.
