Real Madrid is close to winning the Spanish Football League title, after defeating its host Real Sociedad 1-0, on Friday evening, in the 33rd round of the competition.
Arda Guler scored the only goal of the match for Real in the 29th minute.
The victory gives the team a huge morale boost, before facing Bayern Munich next Tuesday, in the first leg of the semi-final of the Champions League, at the German team’s stadium.
Real Madrid raised its score to 84 points in first place, 14 points behind second-placed Barcelona, which faces its guest Valencia next Monday in the same round.
On the other hand, Sociedad’s balance froze at 51 points in sixth place.
