A female activist in her 20s has been found dead in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan.

It is said that this is the first time a female activist has been murdered since the Taliban came to power on 15 August.

According to the British daily Guardian on the 6th local time, the body of Prozan Safi was confirmed at a hospital in Mazar-i-Sharif, Balkh province, Afghanistan.

On the 4th, Taliban operatives brought Safi’s body to the mortuary, saying they found the bodies of two men and two women in a house in the area.

“There were countless gunshot wounds all over his body, including the head, heart, chest and legs,” his family said.

He has been working to promote women’s rights in Afghanistan, including participating in street protests in Mazar-i-Sharif.

The organizer of the protest said, “Prozan was with us in the most recent protest.

Safi left home last month after receiving an anonymous phone call stating that the Taliban were collecting evidence of his activities, the family said.

At the time, he was in the process of seeking asylum in Germany.

His family said, “We don’t know who killed him.” “The body was found near the city center and was registered as an unknown at the hospital.”

A Taliban official said, “The police are investigating.”

Posts circulating on social media ‘he returned to the body after being kidnapped by the Taliban together with other female activists’ and ‘The Taliban killed several female activists’ are circulating on social media, but the truth has not been confirmed.
