[Health Channel/Comprehensive Report]You must have encountered relatives, friends or yourself who have had a cough that did not go away after a cold. In this regard, Chinese medicine doctor Shao Yuhao said that recently there have been many patients with unresolved coughs after colds in the clinic. Generally, they will be relieved within a few weeks. However, if the respiratory system and immune system are poor, it may even last for more than half a year. . He emphasized that there are two main problems after catching a cold:Get rid of evil and rectify deficiencyandThe remaining evil is not exhaustedtwo things, “righteousness” and “remaining evil”, must be overcome to truly recover.

Shao Yuhao posted an article on the Facebook page “Traditional Chinese Medicine Physician Shao Yuhao. Dr. Ahao” explaining that “evils are eliminated and the deficiency is rectified” means that after foreign evils, viruses and bacteria invade the human body, the body needs to deploy troops to fight back the uninvited guests. , and this process requires consuming the body’s resources, which is “qi”. Finally, when the external evil is successfully resisted, the body’s qi will be consumed, leaving a part of the virtual image.

Shao Yuhao gave the example of long-term cough after a cold. Because external evil spirits invade the lungs (bronchus, nose), lung qi is needed to eliminate the evil spirits. In addition, the location of the invasion will also affect the lung passages (pulmonary collaterals). When the battlefield is cleared, It will affect the environment here, and some people will have a long-term cough that does not heal. According to traditional Chinese medicine, it may include lung qi deficiency, lung collateral damage, etc.

Shao Yuhao mentioned that gastrointestinal colds or COVID-19 manifested as gastroenteritis may cause spleen and stomach weakness or poor water and moisture metabolism after the illness is over, and may cause loss of appetite, bowel sounds, bloating, and soft stools.

Yu Xie: A cold that is not completely cured

And what is “Yu Xie”? Shao Yuhao explained that to put it simply, it is a cold that has not been completely cured. Taking COVID-19 as an example, common problems include forgetfulness, insomnia, anxiety, cough, excessive phlegm, diarrhea, etc. Some of them are caused by the above-mentioned positive deficiencies, and the other part are residual evils.

Shao Yuhao said that the current COVID-19 is mostly based on the presence or absence of symptoms and viruses in the respiratory tract. However, after a small number of patients recover, about 4% of patients can still have the virus remaining in the intestines for up to 7 months. This is because the virus can hide in the intestines. Chronic inflammation is induced in the intestinal mucosa, with residual symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and muscle aches. Treatment is mainly based on attack, but considering the problem of righteousness and deficiency, most of them need to use both attack and supplement.

Therefore, Shao Yuhao emphasized that true recovery, in addition to getting rid of the main evil spirits, from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, also includes the recovery of the internal organs and the elimination of residual evil spirits in the body, so that the body can truly return to health.
