Mother and Daughter Die in Electrocution Incident in Pabna
A tragic incident occurred in Kacharpur Purbpara village of Ataikular police station in Pabna Sadar upazila, resulting in the deaths of a mother and daughter due to electrocution.
The victims have been identified as Arjina Khatun (45) and her daughter Arsha Khatun (13). Arjina was the wife of Nawab Uddin Khan, and Arsha was a class 8 student at Kacharpur Dakhil Madrasa.
According to Ataikula Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Habibul Islam, the incident took place around 4:30 pm on Wednesday.
Local sources reported that Arsha Khatun was electrocuted while bathing in rainwater in front of the house. She was attempting to enter the cowshed when she came into contact with an electrified iron door. The cowshed had been electrified due to a cut in the electric wire.
When Arjina Khatun tried to save her daughter, she was also electrocuted and died. The entire village was shocked by the incident, and a sense of mourning has fallen over the area.
Nawab Uddin Khan, the husband of Arjina Khatun, expressed his grief, stating that he had many dreams for his daughter, who was very talented. However, all his dreams were shattered by the tragic incident.
Ataikula OC Habibul Islam advised everyone to be cautious on rainy days to avoid such incidents.
