While acknowledging Nvidia’s technological lead, Huang cautioned that U.S. restrictions could backfire. “If the United States doesn’t want to partake, participate in China, Huawei has got China covered, adn Huawei has got everybody else covered,” he said.
China has been actively supporting domestic firms like Huawei to build its own AI chip ecosystem in response to U.S. export curbs.These curbs prevent Chinese companies from acquiring advanced semiconductors crucial for AI development.
