GS Caltex manager Cha Sang-hyeon, who refused to shake hands before the game with Kim Sa-ni, acting manager of IBK Industrial Bank, was silent.

GS Caltex won the match against IBK 3-0 (25-23 25-23 25-15) in the second round of the 2021-22 Dodram V League Women’s Division held at Hwaseong Indoor Gymnasium on the 27th.

In general, the leaders of both teams shake hands before the game, but coach Cha refused to shake hands with acting Kim, drawing attention.

Acting Kim, who was waiting for coach Cha, could not shake hands with a shy expression and had to turn around.

When asked about refusing to shake hands, coach Cha Sang-hyun said, “I have a lot to say and I have thoughts, but I hope that you can understand this part as it may turn out strangely. I ask for it personally.”

He added, “I want to shed (a question). It is my personal wish that you just hand it over.”

Although the story was euphemistic, it seems that coach Cha felt uncomfortable in relation to this situation.

When asked about coach Cha’s refusal to shake hands, acting director Kim Sa-ni gave a bitter expression, “I don’t know. I was waiting, but such a situation has arisen. I think it is right to call (to coach Cha Sang-hyun).”

Director Cha, who heard Acting Kim’s words through reporters, expressed discomfort, saying, “I don’t know because I haven’t been able to talk on the phone yet.”

IBK Industrial Bank’s incomprehensible manager sacking and player departure are evaluated to have put a chill on the box office of women’s volleyball, which was popular with many fans through the myth of the quarterfinals of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Regarding the series of incidents, coach Cha asked, “Who is comfortable right now?” and then said, “I see volleyball articles every day, but now there are so many bad articles that I start with other things.”

He continued, “I don’t know when it will be, but I want it to be sorted out quickly. Without knowing it, the players and I are suffering.”

On the other hand, coach Cha expressed satisfaction with the victory with a strong back heart.

He said, “There was a crisis in the first and second sets, but it was resolved well. What is encouraging is that Kwon Min-ji has gained confidence in blocking and attacking. It will continue to be helpful.”

He added, “(Kim) Ji-won went into the starting and (Ahn) Hye-jin went in after watching it, and I’m glad that it seems to have taken it well.”
