Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders have a target of 180 runs to win against Punjab Kings at Eden Garden. Punjab got off to a poor start after winning the toss and opting to bat. Apart from captain Shikhar Dhawan’s half-century (57 off 47 balls), none of the top batsmen in the Punjab line-up lived up to expectations. Opener Prabhsimran Singh returned with the wicket of Harshid Rana with 12 runs. Bhanuka Rajapakse, who got out at third, returned without taking any runs (0) off Rana.

Liam Livingston scored 15, Jitesh Sharma 21, Sam Curran 4 and Rishi Dhawan 19. Shah Rukh Khan (21 off 8 balls) and Harpreet Brar (17 off 9 balls) who were unbeaten in the last over took Punjab to a good total of 179/7 in 20 overs.

Varun Chakraborty took three wickets for Kolkata. Harshid Rana took two wickets and Suyash Sharma and Nitish Rana took one wicket each.
