Jalil has sent a letter to the UAE ruler asking the media to ban the newspaper citing the publication of pictures of those who have died due to covid. Sapna said Jalil’s aim was to impress the UAE rulers. Jalil, who was a minister, was sent to the ruler through the UAE consulate. Jaleel forwarded the content of the letter to Sapna from his WhatsApp for corrections. The chats conducted in this regard on June 26, 2020 at 10:30 PM have also been submitted to Swapna Court along with the affidavit. Jalil’s constant calls to know the further action on the complaint caused dissatisfaction to the Consul General. Sapna also alleged that Jaleel had illicit business dealings with the Consul General.
Jalil also assured the Counsel General that all illegal transactions would have the support of the Chief Minister and the ruling party. Secret meetings were also held with the UAE Consulate without the permission of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Swapna’s argument is that she cannot reveal more details as it is under the investigation of ED. Swapna points out that Jalil, who is a minister who is supposed to protect the interests of his own country, stood up for the protection of the rights of a foreign country and is anti-national and a violation of oath. The affidavit also contains serious allegations against the NIA team. Swapna told the High Court that the NIA had seized the iPhone containing the evidence that would expose the Chief Minister’s role in the gold and dollar loan and it is currently missing.
