K. Sudhakaran gets ‘extraordinary warning’ from police | K Sudhakaran | Police

Kannur: Congress President K. Extraordinary notice issued by the police to Sudhakaran with a ‘warning’. The letter warns that if the Kannur Collectorate attacks the police in March, they will face strong action. The Kannur City Assistant Commissioner handed over an unusual letter to Sudhakaran on Friday morning.

The KPCC president will inaugurate the protest program of the Congress workers. Stones and bottles are likely to be hurled at police and the collectorate compound during the march. Precautions should be taken to prevent such incidents. If the violence is not stopped, legal action will be taken against Sudhakaran as the founder.

It is an unusual act of the police to issue such a notice before a protest rally. Opposition parties have been staging protests across the state against the Chief Minister in the gold smuggling case. The Collectorate March in Kannur is a part of it.

The notice was issued under Section 149 of the Criminal Procedure Code to prevent violence during unauthorized protests. According to the police, such notices are now being issued regularly to party functionaries and others. The police said that the notice was issued to K Sudhakaran as he was the KPCC president who called for the march.
