Dammam | Kaniv Cultural Venue, which has made its mark in the Eastern Province in the field of culture and philanthropy, has organized an award presentation ceremony titled ‘Golden Night 2022’ to honor those who stood strong and guarded the ways of survival during the epidemic. Seventy people received the awards in three categories.

The ‘Suvarna Jyoti Award’ was given to the doctors, nurses and paramedics who gave light to the healthcare services, the ‘Suvarna Jyothis’ award was given to those who have made active social contributions through ‘dynamic leadership’ and the ‘Suvarna Jyotirnayam’ award was given to those who are literate in the field of media and culture.

The event was presided over by Kaniv President Biju Baby and was inaugurated by eminent social, health and media personalities of the Eastern Province. Naswakkam, Shaji Mathilakam, Manju Manikuttan and Albil Joseph received the Golden Jyothis Award and Sajid Arattupuzha and Mujeeb Kalathil received the Golden Jyotirmayam Award. Wing like Beno, Dr. Pramod Mathew, Dr. Biju Varghese, Dr. Fifty nursing and paramedical members, including Mariam George, also received the Golden Jubilee Award.

Zubair Udinur (News24), Praveen Vallath (Kairali TV) and Mohammad Rafeeq Chempothara (Siraj Daily) received the awards. Biju Kallumala, Adv. R Shahana, Biju P Neeleswaram and others were present. Bino Koshy, Shaji Pathichira and Santosh Changanassery sent their best wishes. General Secretary Shiju John Kalayapuram welcomed the gathering. Alex Philip delivered the keynote address.

Kaniv singers led by Biju Varghese performed songs at the award ceremony and dances performed by dance groups from the Eastern Province such as Devika Kalakshetra, Varalakshmi Dance School and Vaishnavi Dance School graced the award night. John Raju expressed gratitude. The various committees were led by Monsieur Cherian, Reggie Marcos, GB Thampi, Sajan Mathew, Thomas Uthimoodu, Johnson Daniel and Johnson Varghese.
