On the 11th, through his agency Double HTN, Kim Yong-jun said, “I was really happy to go up to the 3rd round in ‘The King of Mask Singer’ and finish all the stages I had prepared. It was a meaningful time.”
Previously, Kim Yong-jun appeared as ‘Thunder Tiger’ in ‘The King of Mask Singer’, which aired on the 10th, and advanced to the Singing Competition and got a hot response.
On this day, Kim Yong-jun sang One Sun (Thunder and Lightning) and Kang Su-ji’s ‘I Miss You’ in the first round. His unrivaled beauty drew admiration from the judges.
The judges praised Kim Yong-jun, saying, “He sings the song neatly. The overall technique and understanding were good,” and “He is the one who will inherit the genealogy of the singer-songwriter.” After that, Yongjun Kim succeeded in advancing to the next round.
In the second round, he sang Im Chang-jung’s ‘Love Affair’ and presented a strong charm different from the previous round. Kim Yong-jun showed off his explosive singing ability and gave a deep feeling of separation.
Sandara Park fell in love with Kim Yong-jun’s song, saying, “It’s my taste.” Kim Yong-jun again showed an overwhelming difference in votes and advanced to the third round.
In the 3rd round, Kim Yong-jun, who selected Park Mi-kyung’s ‘To You in Memories’, dominated the stage, boasting a delicate yet solid vocal. Kim Yong-jun, who gave a thrilling thrill, was selected by the judging panel once again and was challenged for the title track. Although he couldn’t overcome the wall of ‘Bindaetteok Shrine’, he showed his true worth.
Kim Yong-jun, who revealed his identity after taking off the mask, smiled shyly and said, “My goal was to go up to the 3rd round and listen to all the songs I prepared, but I’m glad that happened.” I wanted to hear it,” he said.
