KONAMI angrily sued Cygames for violating “Pretty Derby”, demanding 4 billion yen and immediately halting operation | 4 Gamers

Cygames announced today (17) that KONAMI has sued the game system and part of the program content for “Pretty Derby” through a statement, claiming 4 billion yen in damages and asking to suspend operations.

Cygames’ parent company CyberAgent also posted a response statement (web link).

Konami filed a lawsuit with the Eastern District Court on March 31. The content of the game system and part of the content of the program “Racing Horse Girl Pretty Derby” are suspected of infringement. So Konami demanded 4 billion yen in damages from Cygames and demanded that “Racing Girl Pretty Derby” stop operating.

CyberAgnet expressed its position through a statement, emphasizing that “Racing Horse Girl” does not infringe Konami’s patent rights, but Konami did not accept Cygames’ statement.

Cygames said it will explain in the next litigation process; if the performance is affected during the process, it will be announced when necessary.
